All Blacks halfback Cam Roigard says the loss to South Africa still stings and New Zealand must carry lessons from the setback into the Bledisloe Cup opener against Australia at Eden Park.

Roigard also spoke of a "weird" feeling heading into the test, without elaborating further.

Anton Segner said the squad has moved its focus to the Wallabies match and is ready to push forward.

The Bledisloe Cup opener at Eden Park is the earliest opportunity for the All Blacks to respond after the Springboks loss.
