A member of the Assembly, a Sinn Féin MLA, was accused of violating the Assembly code of conduct. The MLA issued an apology for failing to declare that her son was being investigated for a suspected hate crime. The MLA was criticized for not showing leadership in a separate incident involving the damage of a unionist portrait. The Assembly did not impose any sanctions despite the breaches.
