A fire destroyed the Kehlsteinhaus in Berchtesgaden, a former Nazi-era guesthouse referred to as the Eagle's Nest. German authorities detained a suspect after the incident. The building, connected to Hitler's Obersalzberg, was heavily affected in the blaze. The arrest was made following reports of the fire, which damaged the historic retreat. The incident has raised concerns over the conservation of sites linked to the Nazi regime.
