Toronto police have taken two members into custody of the Canadian Armed Forces on charges involving organised crime and kidnapping, the Department of National Defence confirmed. The arrests were made in Toronto and both soldiers were removed from duty shortly after.
The DND said it is fully cooperating with the ongoing police investigation. No further details about the charges or the identities of the soldiers have been made public.
