Florida's Department of Transportation has announced construction closures this weekend affecting I-95, I-395, and SR 836 in Miami. Drivers should plan for alternate routes across the impacted stretches of road.

Separately, a morning crash shut down all lanes of I-95 South near the Chatham County Welcome Center in Georgia, triggering lengthy traffic jams close to the Georgia-South Carolina state line. A second crash took out two left lanes on I-95 North near 45th Street in West Palm Beach, making Friday's congestion worse on the busy interstate corridor.
