Hundreds of mourners filled St Andrew's Cathedral in Sydney to farewell police constable Mia Lay, 20, who died in a car crash while on duty. She was given posthumous honours at the funeral service.
In the Beau Lamarre-Condon murder trial, a detective wept while testifying while recalling the discovery of victims. The moment drew a reaction from people in the courtroom. Separately, hundreds assembled at Bondi Beach for a vigil commemorating three years since the Hamas-led attacks of 7 October 2023. The crowd stood in remembrance as the anniversary was observed across Sydney.
